Clear aligner orthodontic treatments use a series of clear, plastic aligners to gradually move your teeth into an ideal position.
The aligners are removable, which means that you can take them out to eat and drink, brush and floss, and for special events.
The aligners work by placing controlled forces on your teeth, encouraging movement.
You’ll wear the aligners for about two weeks at a time, and during your routine checkup, you’ll switch to the next aligner in the series.
Advantages of Clear Aligners
Clear aligners use clear plastic aligners to move your teeth
Unlike braces, clear aligners are removable. You can eat and drink whatever you want and brush and floss normally.
Clear aligners fit comfortably and snugly over your teeth
There are no metal brackets or wires to irritate your mouth, making clear aligners an optimal choice for patients with metal allergies.
Clear aligners are custom-made for you
Your aligners are specifically shaped to move your teeth into place. clear aligners have to be worn a minimum of 20 hours per day.
Clear aligner treatment starts with a consultation
Your orthodontist will consider your treatment goals, examine your mouth, and take x-rays and photos. From this consultation, your orthodontist can determine if clear aligner treatment is right for you..
Clear aligners Vs. Braces
Clear aligners straighten your teeth using a series of custom-made, clear, removable aligners. The aligners are made through a combination of dental expertise and 3-D computer imaging technology.
You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position our orthodontist has prescribed.
You’ll visit our orthodontic clinic only when it is necessary, usually amounting to 3 to 4 times throughout your entire treatment. During that time Dr. Altalibi and his team will be monitoring your treatment using our treatment monitoring application.
Clear Aligner Special Care

so patients with clear aligners will need to make it a point to brush and floss their teeth, as well as clean their aligners every day.
Clear aligner patients will need to be careful when eating foods
Patients will need to be careful when eating foods that can damage their aligners. For example, clear aligners can be damaged by chewing on ice, pens, and fingernails.
Clear aligners can be cleaned with a toothbrush.
Patients should avoid using toothpaste on the aligners, as it can stain them.
Clear aligners Vs. Braces
The length of treatment depends on the extent of the problem. In general, most treatments take about one year.
However, if the patient’s teeth are severely misaligned, treatment may take up to 30 months.
The amount of time it takes also depends on how much the patient wears the aligners each day. The treatment time will be shorter if the patient wears the aligners at least 22 hours a day.
